KlipSA, Sojo Business & Tourism, Caxton Community Newspapers, Rand Water's Water Wise and Rietvlei Zoo Farm have joined to help and develop businesses to adopt sustainable practices. This will be undertaken in a series of monthly sessions at which there will be presentations, an examples from the business world and an opportunity to network and discuss your experiences regarding sustainable business practices.

The purpose of the Green Business Platform is

Sharing environmental best business practise to improve profitability.

This will be achieved through informing and supporting business in applying and using information, wisdom and experience through realistic and cost-effective tools to make business more sustainable and profitable.

Meetings will be led by environmental facilitators who will be able to provide assistance in the way of advice or contacts for any questions and queries that people may have regarding sustainable business practices.

The meetings are held on the first Friday of each month at:

KlipSA partners with SOJO, Rand Water's Water Wise, Rietvlei Zoo Farm, Caxton Community Newspapers and tameTimes in an initiative called the Green Business Platform which has been designed to encourage businesses to adopt sustainabile business practices. These practices will have a twofold benefit:

  • Contribute to a more sustainable future, and
  • Improve business profitability

The Green Business Platform is an opportunity for business people to network and share information, wisdom and experiences to inform and support other business people.

The initiative will consist of a series of meetings over the course of the year, where business people will be addressed by speakers who will provide them with information about good sustainability and increased profitability practices.

The topics to be addressed include:

  • Human wellness management
  • Sustainability in hospitality
  • Sustainability measurement and reporting
  • Sustainable buildings
  • Sustainability strategy preparation
  • Governance
  • Management of Water, Energy and Waste
  • Company examples and achievements
